Company description::
Seaforth Marine Group Inc., a high-end yacht design company with a full marketing division, is now offering clients concept to completed sales solutions, company President James announced today. Seaforth, the design company of choice of Seascape Marine Industries, operates about 45 minutes from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Seaforth offers comprehensive marine design and marketing services for pleasure power craft of any size and configuration to both individual clients and other yards. Seaforth’s principals have more than 60 years collective experience in designing and/or marketing vessels from 40 feet to mega-yacht size. Seaforth currently owns all of Seascape’s designs.

“We saw multiple benefits in establishing an independent design as well as a marketing company,” says James. “The design division makes the proven design talents of lead designers Mike Harling and Winston Pynn available to a broader client base. The marketing division provides other yards with access to expertise to help them successfully design, develop, and sell market-driven vessels.

Company President James brings to Seaforth strong management and marketing skills honed during a successful 20-year career.

Seaforth will establish target pricing with clients and work backwards to develop a design that can be built to budget at any yard while maintaining North American built quality standards. Seaforth’s west coast location make it easier for clients to visit before and during construction and get to know the team designing their boat.

Harling, Seaforth’s lead designer and production supervisor, is known and respected throughout North America for his innovative and eminently seaworthy designs. He has nearly half a century of experience in designing and building boats of every description in wood, metal, and fiberglass in Europe and North America. His accomplishments include the design of Cooper Yachts’ Prowler 40’ and Queenship’s Berretta 70’ series, and the production and engineering of Cooper’s legendary Mary J. I and II, Reminisce, and Saratoga motor yachts. He also supervised the production of Queenship’s Admiralty Series.

Working alongside Harling is naval architect Winston Pynn, who has more than a decade of experience in the design and production of both mega-yachts and small boats at custom and production yards across North America. Pynn has worked at celebrated yards such as Trinity Yachts in New Orleans and Luhrs Mainshed in St. Augustine, Florida.

Seaforth’s designs include 47’ and 54’ coastal cruisers in Seascape’s Offshore Series. Like other coastal cruisers in the series, the 47’ will have a semi-displacement hull and similar lines, but will be significantly faster, with a cruising speed of 18 knots. The 54’ features an entirely new hull with a beamier aft that reduces roll, and improves stability and performance while virtually eliminating chine noise.
